@user-ed2vc4ge3v No, that is not true at all! See the West Memphis Three, among countless other cases. Always ask for an attorney, even if it's just questioning and you're not under arrest.

@singlewhitefemale1707 That's not true at all! Plenty of innocent people have gotten themselves in severe, life-altering trouble simply by talking to cops.

@hydrillagorilla1193 Ok, but that's beside the point. There's a viral video ("Don't talk to the police") from about ten years ago in which a law professor explains the advice quite engagingly. Cops themselves tell their kids not to talk to the police in any context like this.
