Comments by "Scott Charney" (@scottcharney1091) on "Youth Pastor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Teen Girl" video.
I wonder if I'll see any comments like: "Lucky girl." "Where were these coaches when I was a kid?" "It should have been me." "There is no victim here." "The only damage came from all the high-fives." "That girl is a legend among her peers." "Niiice." And so on...

The way things are now? They make it clear early in the video that this isn't any more common, we're just taking it more seriously these days, hence the increased reporting.

It's only recently that people have been taking this behavior seriously. In fact, regarding female perpetrators, far too many people still don't take it seriously, especially when the victims are male.

It gets clicks.

It's not funny.

For one thing, that has nothing to do with these allegations. For another, there is no increase. Only in recent years have enough people taken the harm of this behavior seriously, hence the increased reporting. Also, people are so bad at assessing risk- homes are more dangerous than schools, and keeping children ignorant is very dangerous!

If anything, it's great to see that this behavior is taken more seriously than it was in the past, hence the increased reporting.

@SomeTheorist9090 Of course, but religious types are the people scolding and lecturing the rest about things like this.

@rafaelesquivel3156 What makes you say that?

Stop shouting.

@osmanbey4430 All? Do the math- that's ridiculous. This is, sadly, not uncommon behavior for our species around the world. Even worse, in some places it's tolerated or even condoned (see "Bacha bazi").

@nothanksplease *affects And yes, true, but religious types are the ones hectoring and scolding people about moral issues, particularly dealing with sexuality.
