  2. You don't understand. An attorney's job is to do the best for their client, to make sure that due process is followed. They generally go with what the client tells them regarding the chain of events.

  5.  @Cloud-9_C9  We have an adversarial system in this country. That means that it's the defense's job to make the state prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt (in a criminal trial). If the state can't, then the result is expected to be an acquittal. (By the way, very few criminal cases go to trial; something close to 90% result in plea bargains.)
