It's nothing new. Thankfully, this is getting reported on more often, and ignored/tolerated less often.

This kind of behavior causes a lot of psychological harm, no matter the sexes in the situation. Attitudes like yours are part of the problem.

Kids are in more danger behind closed doors. Most abusers are either family members or family friends.

It's not new. Thankfully, people are more willing to take this seriously. It gets ignored/tolerated/praised less often.

You don't know what you're talking about. It doesn't matter what sexes are involved; when adults do this to minors it causes a lot of psychological damage. Do you think that it should be legal?

@briankenome It's exasperating. This is harmful to minors, no matter the sexes involved.

@GardeningGems Those are all people with power, or who have already established trust, and they are definitely found among abusers. Unfortunately, it mostly happens behind closed doors in the home of either the immediate family, extended family, friends of the adults, etc. They have even more power.
