Very cool place! I imagine this is a mining shack and supply hut or probably just used for whatever was needed at the time. The life of miners in the old days was nothing to sneeze at that's for sure. We are completely spoiled and don't even know it! Those Meals will or woul be very important to someone in trouble and needing nourishment. Never mind the date they would save lives and are designed to last many years. check out the videos of guys that buy very old Army rations even as old as from the Civil war and THEY EAT THEM too! LOL. They're on You tube of course.
