  1. I love Hagerty and I gave this a thumbs up. HOWEVER I really don't think this NEEDED to be a multiple video of us watching NOTHING get done on the car. Even smaller channels do more than that for a video. This isn't what we usually get from them so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that they will come through with a video that shows some more enjoyment on this awesome car! Thank you!

  2. They stand and shoot the guys talking about the BMW and how it has a swapped out engine etc. But they never even show us the engine and barly show the car! Come on Hagerty we've seen your incredible videos why can't you figure out that when talking about a car we'd like to see THE CAR!

And this is another example of why people are buying and building the N54 335i XI cars and doing a few cheap mods tuning it with MHD putting some Ethanol in it and going 10's.Doesn't even break the $3000 mark. Cheap The engine wont tank on you. As well do the few maintenance items and it will be a great road and fun day car. Oh I forgot about the Ebay turbo upgrade for less than $1000 too. LOL. I have one and it's Nuts! They only (Usually lol) blow up if you push them over 630 HP on stock bottom end. If you spend a bunch of cash you can do the internals for the big 1000 HP numbers but really that's just getting back into the big money stuff then.

  7. Thank you I learned some good things from this video!! A great tip to have had in this would be that if you're tapping on a cylinder head or something where you don't want the shavings to get into the engine or someplace while you're tapping to use some thick grease on the tap and around the tap to catch the shavings so they can be removed before they fall or fly into the engine or area you need to keep them out of. It works!

  14. I just watched Cleetus STOMP this with a Track Hawk in the 1/4 mile! LOL. He ran a 10.51. And still didn't get all the juice out of it. But this is AWESOME too! I love the space age look it reminds me of the DELOREAN! LOL. Ultimately this still isn't a usable TRUCK it's more like an SUV with a small bed in it or "Storage Space" in it. But it looks and goes GREAT! Just not for actual hard work or for a fleet of trucks doing industrial work.

  16. Yup I love Corvettes. But I just bought a 2008 335I BMW N54 spent $1500 buying. $500 Maintenance. $1500 on bolts on's and tuned it. Now making 430hp At the wheels. 490 tq for basically about $3500. YAY! Some day I'll be able to afford a Corvette but until then......another $500 and I'll be at 500hp. LOL. Yup Love the Corvettes.

  17. Five years ago there was a 1985 (I think) Alfa GTV-6 with around 100,000 Miles on it for sale in my town (great condition and lots of the parts replaced that were troublesome on these cars. But not perfect at all. It would have been a driver that someone tried to put love into. They were asking $2600. I thought about it but didn't have the cash at that time so now I wish I would have just borrowed the cash. However I don't know that I would have made a good Alfa owner as I love to do power upgrades on my cars. I also love to drive my cars hard. Maybe that's why I didn't have the cash back then LOL.

  20. Meh. BMW had a lot of these features at the same time. The engine for eg was a slant (like the GM model of much earlier production) but they stuck to rear wheel drive thankfully. Chrysler was a huge milestone maker in the 1950's and1960's with innovations far more crazy than SAAB. SAAB was just a weirdo's car that didn't really do much of anything very well. IMHO.

  22. I thought "On the Pipe" Meant Getting the car into Boost. Which I guess is almost the same as a car being into it's power band or it's most powerful rev range. But I thought the "Pipe" was referring to the Turbo piping a=or Supercharger piping etc. 7:12 That Bang Shifting footage was AWESOME! I watched it three times LOL!

  25. 17:45 If you go to the YT Channel called "Tyrrell's Classic Workshop" which is run by the ever amazing and long time super car magic man "Iain Tyrrell" you will find multiple videos of him showing how to tune those very carbs! He is THE MASTER at tuning them. He does old Lambos and Ferrari's, Citroen, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti's, Et c Etc. Webers Stromberg's etc all of them!! He uses a two foot or so length of 1 inch rubber hose and a long screw driver. By the end of it all Six or how ever many carbs the car has are all running in perfect harmony! You'll love it!!

  27. Sooo if I put an LSD onto my X drive BMW I should be able to drift like a mad man?! As long as I turn off all the traction control. But first I have to tune the trans for the LSD so the traction control that never really turns all the way off actually turns all the way off. Or is it the ABS system that needs to be killed first?

  29. Very awesome! I to grew up to the show as did Millions. I can say if this isn't Fonzie's bike it sure is the exact replica. But I believe ya! It needs the Mirrors that he adjusted in that shot you showed. I'm thinking it's probably not the greatest driving machine but I could be wrong as I've never ridden a Triumph. Great Video Thanks for taking us along and I hope you shoot a bit more on this bike!

  30.  @drippinglass  Yea you're right. I didn't know they used another brand. From the Shot I didn't see it was a totally different bike. I actually saw the episode today with him on the Harley and it's not even close to the same style of the Triumph. It's got a heavily tear dropped dark color tank and a much bigger engine.

  31. Gotta love these videos! LOL. I lived in a Small City in Northern Alberta Canada when I was a teen. I had a band and my bass player was from a well off family. One day i drove by the Pontiac, GMC, Buick dealership (As one does when he's a young teen dreaming of cars) and I saw something Insanely beautiful in the showroom window (It was Sunday night and closed). I had no clue what it was but thought "Wow some rich person is gonna own that car soon and I'll see it driving around town". Well a few days later when I was at home I got a call from my Bass player and she said "I'm coming over to show you my new car". Her older sister had been bought a new Nissan 280Z two years before and I almost lost my mind when my bass player pulled up in the driveway with the first Fiero sold in Alberta (From what I had been told and remember lol). We drove that car that summer like mad insane ....Teenagers lol because that is what we were. Then one night after about a year or so of her owning it it just happened that she was at my house for just a few minutes and came inside. Suddenly a shout came up that "The car is on FIRE!! Sure enough we ran outside and doused the car (The center console was on fire) and it had melted a big part of it. SO sad. But it's exactly what those cars did no exaggeration. The insurance covered it and that was that.

  32. Okay You Tubers of "Will it run videos" Pay close attention here to what he has done as the first three things. One of them is not an after thought or something to check after you've turned the engine over fifty times and pumped a gallon of starting fluid into it (Not that that would hurt it or anything LOL) but he CLEANED THE POINTS!! It wasn't even a "Maybe I should check them" thought. He just did it!

  38. He nailed it right on the money. Well at least the main reason. There were a few reasons actual car people really didn't dig into the Taurus and buy it en masse. Another other than the fact that it was a "Family Sedan" (Which won't stop car buyers if it's not considered ONLY a family car. Eg: The E28 M5 or the even older E9 3.0 CSi. Even the Mustang of that time. The Taurus is a front wheel drive car. That cancels out most enthusiasts right off. It wasn't ugly or it wasn't offending really but it didn't have that classy air about it that it needed. At first it did look kind of futuristic but not like it would make a cool looking car that screamed "I'm unique" and "I'm set apart". Some cars have that even if thousands of people drive it. At that time people didn't think smoking the front wheels would be cool. (We know better now LOL). .

  39. I love the RX-7 from this generation! But really the Wankel is the weakest link and is limited and doesn't sound very nice (At all) IMHO. So the answer is an RX-7 with another power plant that is fairly light yet powerful. Again IMHO. If I could just transplant the Rx-7's looks onto the BMW 1M. I'd say that would be "it" IMHO. LOL. Or the M2 or even if the N54 engine wasn't as heavy so as not to spoil that beautiful lightness and balance and handling and feel, Etc, IMHO. HA Ha haa!

  40. I would be willing to bet that if you gave that Stag to one of You Tube's notorious "Will it Run?" Video creators they would be able to get the stag running and driving at minimal cost. Now depending on how horrid the rust is underneath it may be a running and driving "Sculpure" OR it might be a car that has many more miles left in it. Just because a car has had rodents living in it for years is no reason to count it out. As we've seen time and time again in videos all the time here on YT. I love this channel and our host don't get me wrong I'm just saying I think he's not seeing what the car isn't Necessarily "Done". Because of a huge rodent infestation. Not that it wouldn't be disgusting to clean out, which is one of the more fun and interesting parts of watching "Will it Run?" Videos. LOL.
