  1. Oh yea. It's a great investment. That's the road to self sufficiency in owning and saving thousands and thousands over the years to come! I don't take ANYTHING to the shop anymore and I started buying tools five years ago. I have had a little help from a friend in that I trade some garage room to work on his stuff and he lent me some tools when I needed some special types etc. The next thing you should invest in for BMW's or German cars in general are a set (well a couple sets of course it never ends really lol) Allen sockets and Allen Long ball end wenches. BEWARE! Many Socket sets DON'T include the 16MM or sometimes the 19MM or it can vary even for some weird reason. I think it's because they think they don't really need to as there are almost perfect corresponding Standard Units that cover those sizes. EG 1/2 inch socket (Or wrench) = 14mm Socket or 16mm? (or something like that I don't recall the exact size match ups). You may have already bought the "E-TorX" and "Torx" Socket sets. Those are VERY important and used ALL the time!
