Okay so I just watched these guys "M3 CSL vs RS4 Audi". The CSL did the standing 1/4 mile in 13.5 sec's exactly the same as the E92 M3 did in this race. I call Shenanigans!!!! LOL.

Wow! What I found really amazing was that the E34 M5 with it's older technology and 6 cylinder engine was only a 10th of a second behind the E39's V8 power! That sure says a lot about the greatness of that old race engine!

Yea it's engine management. They've tuned it for a bit more juice and different gear changes. Ultimately either one should be able to be tuned (well CAN be tuned) to the exact same specs. But the Z4 has been tuned reservedly. Bring either one to a tuner and you will be able to get massive power. Just like the 240i, 235i, 335i, 340i etc or any of their cars with Turbos.

There isn't a car that can in stock form do the time 0 to 60 that the factory or journalists claim. Why? Because they don't actually do an honest run. Look it up. They cut almost a whole second off before they even start.

Far out. Now do the drifting and doughnut challenge!

I like the cars in your videos but you dont keep the same rules for all of them. In the M3 video you admitted that one of them got an incredibly bad start and wasn't set right etc. But no do over there. Even though in another video shortly after where that car was used again it clearly showed a much stronger run. Then in this one due to not prepping the cars correctly (or at least because the Porsche driver cried) you had a do over. Come on guys we want the tests on the cars we spend all our hard earned cash on to be tested correctly so we can be confident we have the right informed information. Thanks for the content.

3:06 The most surprising thing to me is that the M4 weighs so much more than the 430d! Really? Just shy of 200 KG?? That's not the way you'd think things would be.

Way back in the 1970's there was a a car (Or two?) that was using this technology on the race track and was quickly banned because they said it gave too much of a advantage over the regular cars. It had never been used until then and in it's short life it won whatever it was in from what I recall. (I could be wrong on that). I'm sure you can find it on You Tube if you look it up.

Nothing a good tune couldn't solve. I'd still take the AR. IMHO.

carwow: "Hey we're having a full on M3 race pitting each generation of M3 up against each other" E36: "All Right Awesome" carwow: "Not so fast E36" E36: "Wait..... What?' carwow: "Sorry you're not coming" "You can give the other cars water or gas when they need it" "We Still acknowledge you but you just can't come!" E36: "Screw you all I'm gonna have my own race and you know what I'M TELLING BMW DAD!!".

I feel like if Richard Hammond hadn't crashed this car on The Grand Tour. Like it might very well have dropped into obscurity like so many have done before. But I could be completely wrong.

4:46 Wait....Did he just say a "limited Slip Diff"?? No he couldn't have. BMW never surrenders their LSD's except for on the "M" car's. Period. But hey maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's true! Maybe what we the customer have been saying we wanted for many many years is finally happening. .....No. I'll put my money on it Only being available on Special order (Like the 235i and 240i etc, always have been) and then installed at the Stealership at a huge $3500 mark up. We'll I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it's really true.

So...It's an all inclusive M3 review shootout without the E36 and they admit they completely botched the drag race but just stick with those results. Don't really have much for camera work (drones?) Sigh...... My favorite M3 is the one in my driveway 6speed manual E46 but I would also have chosen the (And might yet) The M2. Or the E92 M3. Manual box only.
