I'm assuming you own your home so in that case I would also think it would be in your better interest to try and build a garage out back and if there is an alleyway you could use that for the entrance? But you might not have that option either. But that's how mine is set up and it's a lot better to have the house and garage a little further away from each other for some houses (Not all).
