As a Canadian you'll be possibly surprised to know that we got many British shows here even though we only had two channels for many years if you didn't have cable. Which we didn't until I was maybe 12 or 13 something like that. But the CBC played a lots shows Like Are you being Served (I didn't really get that one) Minder and comedies like The two Ronnies and of course Benny Hill The Goonies every day at 5pm!! Loved em! Of course Last of the Summer Wine and Many others. But the FORD CAPRI came into my life from Europe here in Canada and I bought TWO!! LOL. Then rally raced them and sold them off when I went on the road touring with my band.

SAM!!! I'm so very proud of you AND you helped me big time! Thank you for posting the work on this car. I have the very same car (2008 335XI) and I now know that I can do my O2 sensors from the bottom of the car if needed in the future. I had my Down Pipes installed by a shop because of the sub frame needing to be dropped and the O2 sensors replaced then but in the future you know they will need to be replaced again and it's worried me that I wouldn't be able to just do it myself on jack stands. Now I know that with the DP's I can reach them. As well I have up graded 17T turbos from ebay for almost a year now which along with a Custom Tune from a tuner using MHD as a flash app has made the car a monster for CHEAP!

Hello from Canada! Nice score bud! I had two Capri's in my teen years (Long ago LOL) Both 1973 models and both manual V6 2.6L However one was massively modded with Race cam and pistons, high rise manifold four barrel carb hooker headers. (I think that was it) and it went as you might say "Like the Clappers!" Or as we would say "She's a Ripper!" It was painted Candy Apple Red with a huge Whale Tale on the rear too! It had a body kit on it and looked MEAN! But it kept on blowing out rear end's and when the struts on the front died and the clutch cable snapped for the the second time along with the diff blowing up again I just stopped and drove the stock one. It was great and I actually did a few amateur Rallies. What I wouldn't give to have those European Fords (They were sold under the Mercury name here actually) back NOW! Too bad yours is the tiniest engine available. HOWEVER! I would think it wouldn't be much difficulty finding a V6 maybe a 2.8 or 3.0L even to put into that baby. I haven't yet watched the whole video so I'm praying and hoping it runs like crap so you are motivated to swap that sucker out and make it a fantastic project car we could all watch for a bunch of series videos on it and maybe YOU could go RACING!!! WOW! THAT WOULD BE SOOOOO COOL!! PLEASE!! DO THIS!! If you've ever loved me at all (LOL I'm trying everything here) you'd genuinely see how important this is to me and ALL OF YOUR FAN BASE PLUS ALL of those thousands to come once they catch on that you're the first REAL CAPRI swapping Video EVER (Like I said I'm trying everything LOL) great personality and master mechanic to actually do a full Capri build on you tube! We've been hoping and praying then hugely disappointed each time we see a Capri vid that says "Full resto" or something like that and it's just a bunch of old blurry pictures of a boring ten year paid to get the work done somewhere thing. PLEASE Kind Handsome Brilliant Wise and Generous SIR!! Ooo, maybe even a 5.0L (302CI in our speak LOL!! All the best and think you again for all your great videos!! Sorry this is so long but I'm excited for once about something IMPORTANT!! LOL.

I've been sincerely enjoying your channel for quite a while now. Thank you for the hard work and fun! Plus great cars too! I have one request but you should do whatever you think is best for your channel because it's you not me out there. My thought is that you'd have even better videos and response (maybe) if you improved the sound quality. At times it's hard to hear you with the shop echo and your distance from the camera. A set of lav or lapel mics would go a long way or maybe as you requested the right camera?? I'm not totally sure how some do it. I suspect a lot have pro editors that compress the sound in post production when it goes below a certain level. But I do love you stuff no matter !!

Porsche doesn't come manual either anymore unless perhaps if you order it that way but I'm not sure if then even. But BMW is one of the few that you can still get the Manual trans (American cars like Stang's and Corvettes or Camaros do plus a few others Subaru etc) but that's one of the reasons BMW still is the car I want. I can get it with the stick.

I know they had it tuned to be around the 470hp mark for the series I knew of. But did they ever give it the 80HP it was designed to have in any racing series or even at all??

You should have started with number 5. Because your video starts with the same thing that so many other videos do which is just slamming the brand. I at first closed the video and moved on thinking "Just another cry baby BMW hater". But (And I'm positive this is very unusual) I decided that I would go back to your video and hear you out and find out if there was anything worth listening to as far as common sense and wisdom. That doesn't mean that what you said through the first four points isn't correct. But you start with all the things that everyone cry's about any brand they've had a bad experience with and are determined to tear down the reputation of and so they just want to as I said tear down. If you'd started with Point 5 it would have been a more open topic for all brands and consumers. This is of course IMHO. Thanks for the video.

So sorry guys! Someone should have told you to make sure you deal with that nut NO MATTER WHAT! LOL. First mistake was using an "X" drive car. Too much to go wrong. Second mistake was not doing the oil pump nut fix that is very notorious on these engine. Too Bad.
