@Bittrio if bitcoin was a monopoly, you'd be right. but, since that tech can be replicated, the value eventually goes to zero.

@Bittrio bitcoin isn't a monopoly. that blockchain tech can be replicated to infinity by other forms of crypto. bitcoin is still riding the marketing boost and name recognition. built-in deflation means nothing if people will just use alternatives. bitcoin is unlike gold because there are NO alternatives to gold, gold has unique properties unto itself, just like every other precious metal, which makes them precious.
