@cellardoor1122 the Senate upheld that presidents can declassify material whereas Biden was never president when these documents were procured, so what's your point exactly?

@mikew764 there is no "declassification" process the president must follow. if there is, i'd love to see you point to someone the president must answer to when getting declassification approved.

@mikew764 yeah, the president wants something declassified so he declassifies it and doesn't have to tell anyone else. that's literally how it's always been except when Trump did it, then all of a sudden it's somehow illegal. you know, how you all still believe he was never legitimately elected in the first place.

@ArisaemaTriphyllum If what Trump did was illegal then it should be an open and shut case, you know, like the Russia hoax, tax avoidance, Jan 6th, etc. but none of those stuck so why is THIS going to be what takes him down after 8 years of having to defend himself around every turn yet still nothing has?

@remo7034 but he had already declassified them. you can't prove he didn't and he did not need to get approval from anyone to do so, so it's a moot point. Biden was never president when he procured those documents from decades ago.

@MikeW165 but you said title v gives someone the right to possess, etc. prove the documents weren't declassified when he was president. you can't, therefore, what he says is true whether you like it or not.

@MikeW165 no, no...the problem i'm saying is, anyone part of the "good ol boy system" aka swamp gets a pass in possessing classified documents for decades (evidenced by Biden) while the government looks the other way. and anyone who doesn't play along are ones targeted. Trump mistakenly thought it was okay to possess documents given that Biden and others are able to keep them in possession for decades in unlocked premises, meanwhile Trumps were actually "secure" and monitored. in other words, it's okay when Biden et al does it, but not okay when Trump does it.

@MikeW165 Biden was not allowed to keep those documents after leaving office in 2017 because those documents were never declassified AND he didn't have the power to declassify them because he was not president.
