the only thing you should be scared of is government outlawing the use of AI.

another Luddite. humans have always adapted and always will. stop worrying about change.

he wants to be in control of the regulations no doubt. when if he were truly wise he'd know that nobody should be in charge.

@wolfgangpreier9160 people already have that ability without AI.

if you believe, like me, that human consciousness is a divine spark from God then there is no reason to fear AI. but if you believe our brain is just a giant computer and that's all there is to it, then you have every reason to be afraid. humans have more capacity for evil than any computer ever will. the only thing that scares me regarding AI is governments using it for bad purposes while making it illegal for anyone else. we are and will always be our greatest enemies, a computer is and always will be a tool and reflection of us.

@alexevasic8411 End the Fed.

why are people so afraid of information? the only thing we should be afraid of is other people who want to cause harm to us.

because HE wants to be in charge of the regulations, no doubt. no, it should all be open source. regulations will cause mass chaos because you have to assume those that outlaw it will be using it themselves.

@heywoodjablome2018 the same government that was in charge of gain-of-function research being outsourced to China which ultimately leaked and killed mllions of lives and no one has yet to be held accountable? why shoudl i trust the government with AI regulations then?

@DeadlyV1RU5 we let governments be in charge of gain-of-function research, and nobody has been held accountable for the millions of deaths from COVID leaking from a lab. a private business would have at least been held responsible.

@vlada if you believe, like me, that human consciousness is a divine spark from God then there is no reason to fear AI. but if you believe our brain is just a giant computer and that's all there is to it, then you have every reason to be afraid. after all, it's atheists who seem most afraid of AI. humans have more capacity for evil than any computer ever will. the only thing that scares me regarding AI is governments using it for bad purposes while making it illegal for anyone else. we are and will always be our greatest enemies, a computer is always will be a tool and reflection of us.

@robertwright4906 nonsense. there is a surplus of food in the world because most of the production is left to the free market. there is no "right" to food or water.

no one should have control over it. it's clearly the next stage of evolution
