what's funny to me is that people are perfectly fine with 2% inflation every year, but change it to 8% then suddenly it's "theft". inflation has always been theft, no matter what percent. that's why the ideal inflation rate is zero.

@mastrblastr3010 your ideas are outdated, get with the times. capitalism has brought more people out of poverty more quickly than any other economic system. the problem the past 30-40 years is that we've strayed from capitalism.

@mastrblastr3010 capitalism cannot properly function with a central bank who has a monopoly on the money supply, let alone fiat money not backed by tangible real assets. like i said before, the problem with our economy right now is the lack of proper sound money capitalism, not because of it. we have been slowly bleeding since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was created, and things have only gotten more and more regulated and bureaucratic.

@mastrblastr3010 and your assumption is that free markets = free from any form of control. that's an assumption YOU are making. and nobody is saying capitalism doesn't have flaws, it's just the best economic system we've tried BY FAR. the solution is to address the flaws it does have and correct them, not completely abandon it for something entirely unsustainable and immoral.
