@Badgermilk-zc2wy but it's not obstructing. there is nothing that says the certifying the results can't be paused until a proper congressional investigation takes place.

@heathermatthews1323 how is pausing on certifying the results overturning the election? it would still be certified, just after a congressional investigation, that's all.
2
@Badgermilk-zc2wy where is the stated punishment for *delaying certification*? that exact phrase, not "obstructing" not "conspiring", etc. what is the punishment for "delaying certification"?

@davids.2703 I don't care what Pence has to say. obviously Pence believes that rejecting Trump scores political points, so there clearly isn't any motivation to lie, is there? again, where is the specific law about the VP delaying electoral certification? if you can't point to the law, then maybe just maybe it's legal to do so....
2
@heathermatthews1323 if the VP's role is "largely ceremonial" then telling him to delay the certification is a moot point, is it not? you can't have it both ways: either it's ceremonial and Trump didn't break the law by telling Pence to delay certifying the results, or it's not ceremonial and Trump had every right to tell Pence to delay certification.

what about standard of living?

either the VP certifying results is ceremonial, or it's not. if it's ceremonial, then what he said has no legal recourse or consequence. if it's not ceremonial, then what he said is perfectly legal.

@heathermatthews1323 she wasn't president, either, was she? either the VP certifying results is ceremonial, or it's not. if it's ceremonial, then what Trump requested has no legal recourse or consequence. if it's not ceremonial, then what he said is perfectly legal.

@tammystatzer8061 the indictment is politically motivated. if his crimes were so bad, why didn't they bring this stuff up IMMEDIATELY after Trump left office? why wait until after he declared he was running for president? sometimes it's what one doesn't do that tells what his true intentions are. likewise, they didn't bring these charges up until after Trump announced he was running for president, so I can only conclude these indictments are entirely political in nature and that nothing will come from it and they all know that. the true purpose of these indictments is to tarnish Trump's name during an election year so they don't have to talk about how bad of a job Biden is doing.

@richardhoner7842 why did they wait so long to do it, then? why didn't they do it immediately after he left office? Oh that's right, because they were hoping the January 6th BS would be enough to turn off most people from supporting him, and when that failed, they tried the document "scandal", and when that failed, they're now trying something new. just more BS like it has been for the past 7 years.
