  1. Not exactly news... Russia wanted get rid of Zelensky almost from his election - once he demonstrated that he had a spine. Edit: I'll note that during the reign of the USSR, Ukraine was accorded the national title of "Ukraine SSR," one of the theoretically co-equal Republics that made up the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. In short, Comrade Putin has forgotten his own history.
