  2. Clearing a 'bricked up' pipe is insanely difficult. Sure, you can steam the line, but that's highly dependent on weather conditions and length of the line(s). Another thing to consider is that as the lines go idle, and temperatures decline, oil will contract, creating pockets where water will condense, and corrosion will increase markedly.
