@joz6683 the UK training is likewise covering the basics - Same as SEALs, or SAS, or whichever special unit you care to name. Bottom line: They'll learn enough to be competent on a modern battlefield, then go forth to polish their trade in combat. That alone puts them head and shoulders above most militaries in the world - Maybe not above European, Australian, or other developed nations, but above all the others.

Those soldiers will get the 10% of SEAL-level training that is used 90% of the time - the other 90% is for extremely situational use, and very hard and expensive to train, and rarely needed. They're still going to be better than 90% of soldiers anywhere in the world.
