  4.  @genem895  this assertion is not backed up by Russian training figures or by reports from the pilots themselves - prior to getting to a war-operational squadron, Russian military pilots have to beg and scrape for airtime. Witness the spare of non-operational wrecks that have popped up all over the places, including recent well-documented non-combat SU-25, SU-30, and SU-34 wrecks. 34000 sorties over 240+ days is NOT a huge number (142 flights a day), and reflects only those pilots on actual combat duty.
