  1. This is fascinating. You present your case very clearly, and with a good balance of focus on pros v. con, and I agree with your general conclusion. Robotics would be in applications like Boston Dynamics' "Big Dog" quadruped pack bots, or as a power unit for man-augmentation frames for use in loading, weight handling, and construction. Similar to UAVs, power density is key here, and frequent rebuilds are much less of an issue.
