Because of Kursk - Russia started advancing at record speed in Ukraine itself, collapsed Pokrovsk front, captured Ugledar and Chasov yar. You can't force your enemy to spend resources somewhere else when you're the one who's lacking resources
6
Russia is losing far less soldiers than Ukraine due to the huge Russian advantage in fire power. And in Kursk Ukraine was surrounded by 3 sides as well
5
Boosting morale by sending thousands to die for no reason at all when the frontline in Ukraine collapsing?
4
@philliptemple9841 there's no evidence of North Koreans being anywhere near Ukraine and 10k potential Koreans is only a week worth of Russian recruitment. What lack of manpower are you yapping about, considering that Putin had to increase the Russian army size like 3 times because of the amount of volunteers?
4
Do you realise that Ukraine lost far more soldiers than Russia due to the huge Russian advantage in fire power and that Ukraine is the one with huge shortages in equipment and manpower? Because of Kursk offensive - Russia was advancing in the Donbas at record speed
4
1 year old bot account talking nonsense. We haven't seen North Koreans anywhere near Ukraine. And even if there are 10k of them - it's 1 week worth of Russian recruitment. Do you realise that Russia is growing their army with only volunteers and that Putin had to increase the army size like 3 times because of that?
3
@thomasdalton1508 both countries have parity in drones, but Russia has huge advantage in artillery and glide bombs. Artillery and bombs are great at destroying fortifications Ukraine was surrounded on 3 sides for around 4 months with only 2 roads leading to Sudja
2
@thomasdalton1508 If you have a few supply routes - they can be monitored by drones 24/7 drastically increasing casualties Who told you that the attacker takes heavier losses (it wasn't even the case for ww1) ? Especially since in this case attacking forces have a great advantage in fire power. Before attacking some position Russia bombs it for days and weeks. Their attack can be spotted the same way Ukrainian supply vehicles can be spotted, but Ukraine will suffer more losses by sitting on that position
2
@Richard-e5m what purpose did Ukraine accomplish there? And if they did accomplish it - why haven't they withdrawn faster? Russia managed to withdraw from entire regions within days. Why did Ukraine wait until they got encircled by 3 sides with hundreds of Russians piping them from the back, while their last remaining supply road is under complete fire control? If that was a "withdrawal operation", then it SUCKED. Feel free to read the opinions of Ukrainian soldiers from Kursk in a recent BBC article. They described everything, which happened there as "it was chaos and we were in panic"
2
@Richard-e5m "they accomplished their purpose" - that's what you said under top comment Lying much? And you wrote multiple useless comments instead of just explaining yourself. Because it sure looks like you also think that Ukraine did nothing there and sacrificed thousands of their elite troops in the process, but you're just trying to cope with reality And yeah, I quoted BBC and Ukrainian soldiers, not Putin. Are you delusional or something?
2
Do you support the democratic choice of Crimea and Donbas to join Russia?
2
@zibbitybibbitybop Russia is taking 300-800km² per month in Ukraine. Ukraine retaking 3 fields doesn't mean anything
2
@UserErr0r3578 it's nonsense because it is. Has nothing to do with feelings For example, this guy said that Ukraine diverted Russian troops. But after Ukraine started the Kursk offensive - Russia started taking ground at record speed. Before Kursk Russia was taking 50km² per month, but after Kursk - Russia was taking 400-800km² per month "I don't think they need to explain themselves" - so you believe that they can do anything, sacrifice as many people as they feel and shouldn't be held accountable by anyone? Do you think any actions of any commander shouldn't be criticized? The thing is. If even the pro Ukrainian supporters have no idea what Ukraine was doing there - that offensive was nothing but a PR stunt. Similarly to Krinky.
2
Do you call an "expert" anyone who tells you what you want to hear, despite making zero sense?
2
@robc86 why are you silent?
2
@robc86 so why haven't you debunked any points of mine yet?
2
Oh no, an NPC noticed thinking people in the comment section
2
@thomasdalton1508 who told you that nonsense? 3 to 1 rule is about minimizing your losses against enemy forces. Or example if 10 guys will fight 10 guys - there will be one lucky guy standing. But if 30 guys will fight 10 guys, then the bigger group will lose like 3 people, while the smaller group will lose all 10 just because they got overwhelmed. It has nothing to do with attackers or defenders, it's about overwhelming your enemies enough to minimize your losses. In modern warfare it's about fire power. 10 guys in a trench will lose to 1 pilot and a big bomb And yeah, feel free to Google any ww1 battle. In the battle of Verden attackers lost less, for example. In Borodino battle (when Napoleon invaded Russia) - attackers also lost less. Feel free to fact check me
1
@thomasdalton1508 feel free to fact check me and come back when you Google "Lancaster law". Which has nothing to do with defenders and attackers. This law is about overwhelming your enemy to minimise your losses Ukraine is also counter attacking constantly and any supply vehicle or rotation of troops can be spotted as easily as a tank or attacking squad
1
@MA-oj8zk "Ukrainians don't send their troops through the meat grinder" - letting cauldrons form around them and sacrificing thousands for failed PR stunt against overwhelming fire power sounds exactly like a meat grinder. And unlike Ukrainians, Russia never lets their troops get encircled. You're repeating blatant lies and propaganda Btw, what do you think about Krinky?
1
@Richard-e5m what purpose did Ukraine accomplished there? Yeah, they're still holding a few tree lines, but it's irrelevant
1
@Richard-e5m why are you avoiding a question about your own phrase. Again, what purpose did Ukrainian troops accomplish there?
1
@malcolmgibson5088 Feel free to ask Crimeans if they're waiting for Ukraine
1
@malcolmgibson5088 "they are" - so who did you ask? What opinion poll after 2014 suggests that Crimeans are missing Ukraine or dislike Russia? And what partisan activity are you talking about? Life here is pretty peaceful. Who's treating Tatars badly? Right now or are you referring to something, which happened in USSR half a century ago?
1
@Druidofthetailon yeah, so now Russians can push in Ukraine from anywhere, while Ukraine also has to keep large amount of troops there
1
@UserErr0r3578 so what was the goal of the Kursk offensive? Cos everything in this video is nonsense
1
@UserErr0r3578 I haven't used the full quote because it's a time waste. You already know what sentence of yours I'm talking about, so what's the point of wasting our time? "Advances in Pokrovsk slowed down" - yeah, in winter mud season. But in autumn Russia was taking 2 times more ground per month than in the entire 2023. Even now Russia is taking 200-300km² per month. So they did slow down from their peak. We can argue about the reasons behind it. But before the Kursk offensive - Russia was taking around the 40km² per month. So the slowest point of Russian advances with ongoing Kursk operation is 10 times faster, than Russian advances before Kursk operation. Is this factual enough for you? Do you need more evidence to admit "yeah, Anders is talking nonsense" ?
1
@UserErr0r3578 as I said, the reasons for Russia slowing down in last 2-3 months can be discussed. But even after slowing down - Russia is taking 10 times more ground per month than prior to the Kursk offensive. So even if they did redeploy something - Kursk still made the Ukrainian situation 10 times worse
1
@tofu666 There are AI photos of Koreans and there are blatant propaganda videos with captured soldiers who talked about "Ukrainian superiority in everything and meat wave tactics", which can only exist in western propaganda. Where are those POWs now? Why isn't Ukraine showing them everywhere to prove their existence?
1
@Stefan-ef2pj several countries who support Ukraine. Right. Exaggeration of enemy losses is the oldest war propaganda imaginable. You can only believe any side of the conflict when they accept their own mistakes and praise the enemy, then it's at least half-truth instead of a complete lie
1
@kadovax6567 there are no sources, which can provide the legit information until the war is over. But we know that Russia is losing far less soldiers than Ukraine due to the huge Russian advantage in fire power. And because Russia is constantly catching Ukrainian troops in cauldrons. And because Russia is growing its army with only volunteers while Ukraine can't keep up with it's losses despite kidnapping people off streets
1
So instead of building fortifications Ukraine decided to on the adventure, lose thousands of grit elite soldiers and will have to protect Sumi anyway? What a great plan
1
@LafayetteCCurtis so Ukraine sacrificed thousands to build fortifications, which they weren't building for 2 years for some reason? Have they finished those fortifications? Why hasn't Ukraine left Kursk and let their soldiers get surrounded then?
1
@IqmalAziz wdym? On December 11 Zelensky himself said that he's planning to exchange Kursk in negotiations
1
@kadovax6567 Wrong opinions aren't valid. And facts don't care about your feelings. The BBC had an interview with Ukrainian soldiers who described how they had to run away in panic. Russian were only a few km from the last Ukrainian supply road and Ukraine was sitting in a fire pocket for a few months
1
So now they can push inside Ukraine from anywhere and stretch Ukrainian manpower even thinner. Great plan
1
So Ukraine sacrificed thousands for PR stunt with no military purpose? That sounds far more embarrassing than taking its time to evaporate your enemies Do you realise that Ukraine is losing far more soldiers than Russia due to the huge Russian advantage in fire power and especially in Kursk, since Ukraine was sitting in a cauldron?
1
@FriedrichHerschel This operation had no goal other than PR
1
@FriedrichHerschel this video is a bunch of lies and utter nonsense. For example Anders said that Ukraine pulled out Russian troops from Donbas to Kursk. But before the Kursk operation - Russia was taking 40km² per month and after the Kursk operation - Russia started taking 400-800km² per month. So because of Kursk - Russia started taking 10 times more ground than usual. So no, it either had no military purpose or failed every single objective it could possibly fail
1
@FriedrichHerschel Even if there's no causation - it would be wrong to say that Ukraine achieved something positive inside Ukraine itself by starting Kursk adventure Ukraine used their best brigades in Kursk. Surely they would be useful when Russia was near Ocheretino (a few km north west of Avdeevka)
1
@marianoaugustoormadtejejer5663 a 1000 geolocated pieces of equipment, thousands of elite soldiers and a large chunk of land in Ukraine itself because Russian offensive accelerated greatly while Ukraine was on its suicidal adventure Wars are almost always foolish and unnecessary
1
@kadovax6567 it's spelled Kiev. You're welcome
1
@robc86 1) Yeah, Ukraine demonstrated that it's possible to invade Russia. And then get wiped out. Do you think other countries should also test the theory and gamble with nuclear war as well? 2) So Ukraine sacrificed thousands to exchange some prisoners, who would be exchanged "all for all" after a peace conference anyway? That's just dumb. Even if we pretend that Russia hasn't taken tons of POWs after they encircled Ukrainian troops 3) That's just a lie. Before Ukraine went to Kursk - Russia was taking the 50km² per month, but after - Russia was taking up to 800km². Russia collapsed the entire Pokrovsk frontline, which was the Avdeevka front btw. They also encircled Ugledar, Velika Novosilka, few villages near Kurahovo, twice. And captured Chasov Yar. And Ukraine managed to recapture like 4 fields near Pokrovsk only last month, half a year after the Kursk operation started. Why do you avoid reality? 4) If Ukraine wanted to use Kursk as a bargaining chip - they would have started the negotiations half a year ago. Considering that Ukraine lost Kursk - that point of yours would be a failure even if it was the case. So Ukraine failed all their possible objectives
1
@NmaeUnavailablesigh is he wrong?
1
@Nikegod Ukraine started the war in 2014 when Turchinov announced "anti terrorist operation" against Donbas civilians. Russia hasn't started the war and hasn't declared it. Ukraine also hasn't declared the war on Russia and was getting money from Russia for gas transfer until very recently. So the "fundamental truth" is that there's no war, but "anti terrorist operation" conducted by Ukraine and "special military operation" conducted by Russia. "Ukraine clearly hasn't achieved all their goals" - what goals did they have? If they achieved something - why haven't they left earlier?
1
@Nikegod "fundamental truth is that Russia invaded Ukraine and started this war, everything else is propaganda" - that's your quote. And you're factually wrong "Russia is in any way justified" - and who decides what's justified and what isn't? Ukraine was bombing civilians at the Russian border for 8 years. Ukraine dammed the river to Crimea to deliberately starve 2 million people. Zelensky threatened to build nukes at the Munich conference. Merkel Holland and Poroshenko all admitted that Minsk agreements were fake and were only necessary to arm Ukraine for the war against Russia. Ukraine banned the Russian language as the second official in eastern Ukraine and did its best to get rid of Russian culture. Maybe all of that isn't a good justification for you But what justification would be good enough for you? What should Ukraine have done to justify the Russian invasion in your eyes?
1
@kadovax6567 Merkel Holland and Poroshenko all admitted that Minsk agreements were fake and were necessary to arm Ukraine for the war against Russia. Russia also hasn't broken Minsk agreements, since Minsk agreements have nothing to do with them. And yes, each time both sides kept firing at each other from time to time. Cos it's physically impossible to control every soldier on the battlefield. What matters is the long lasting peace and actions towards it. According to Merkel Holland and Poroshenko - they didn't need peace Ukraine wasn't "providing water". It was just a channel from the river, it cost Ukraine nothing to keep it. But they decided to throw a bunch of rocks there. Russia also tried to pay for that water, but Ukraine refused. So Ukraine deliberately harmed civilians and the Crimean ecosystem. Why do you think harming civilians is ok?
1
@kadovax6567 Merkel Holland and Poroshenko all admitted that Minsk agreements were fake and were only necessary to arm Ukraine for the war against Russia. Russia hasn't broken Minsk agreements because they had nothing to do with it. But yeah, both Donbas and Ukraine kept shelling each other from time to time because it's impossible to control all soldiers on the battlefield. What matters are intentions. And Ukraine didn't want peace. Ukraine wasn't "providing" water. There was a channel from Dnepr, which was leading to Crimea. And Ukraine threw a bunch of rocks there to harm civilians and Crimean ecosystem. How can you possibly justify something this evil?

Ukraine sacrificing thousands for PR stunt suits Russian demilitarisation and denazification goals
1
@Fuzzybeanerizer Is there a reason why Russia shouldn't have taken its time to evaporate Ukrainian elites in Kursk? And what would Trump have to do with anything if Ukraine was stuck in a cauldron for a while ? And why haven't we seen any North Koreans?
