Guy above is right. There's a good movie named "only old men go to fight" about pilots. In the end there was a powerful speech about war and 2 grown men were crying about fallen comrades. Scene was filmed only once because actor said that if he repeats his lines again - he will have a heart attack, because he was actually thinking about his fallen comrades because he was in the army himself

@morganodonnell1239 "In recent weeks, the level of 155mm combat rounds in U.S. military storage have become uncomfortably low" , " WASHINGTON—The war in Ukraine has depleted American stocks of some types of ammunition and the Pentagon has been slow to replenish its arsenal" - that's from wall Street journal in August. NATO is heavily relying on planes which they can't send to Ukraine (cos Ukrainian pilots will be poorly trained and fight against best air defence system in the world) and they also need to keep ammo and weapons for themselves. NATO is running out of stuff to send to Ukraine
14
@morganodonnell1239 NATO is also running out of bombs and equipment to send to Ukraine And no, electric grid is also used for military purposes. No trains - no troops moving around. More power generators - less gasoline for Ukrainian equipment. More money to provide civilians with goods - less money for war
12
@tonylarimer1326 they never said that 44 himars were destroyed, they stated that 44 himars rockets were intercepted
8
@andrzejraven6437 5m Ukranians who fled after war begun are very confused about your comment
8
Ukraine took Kharkov region few months ago and Russia occupied it again some time later. Have you forgotten news about Ukranians making photos of Russian borders? It's not hard to occupy it again, since it's literally on Russian border. Such offensive is another PR stunt. Because when Ukraine fights Russian forces in areas Russia cares about (like in Kherson) - Ukraine suffer huge losses and does nothing important
7
And Russia had right to send their troops anywhere they want
5
@bjorntorlarsson well, troops are needed to stretch the front and hold territories. For example, why won't Russia push in Zaporozhye and Kherson? Those regions weren't fortified and open fields are really good for tanks. If they do push - front will get too big for Russia to manage, but it would indeed end the war quicker Also, unlike eastern Ukraine - everywhere else Ukranians hate Russia and will resist, someone has to control those territories. Extra few hundred thousand people will solve many issues
4
USSR captured entirety of Afghanistan and left. How is this a loss?
3
Russia built defensive lines to kill advancing Ukrainians easier. Considering that after 3 months Ukraine barely reached first like of Russian defenses - everything is working perfectly fine for Russia. But what exactly are you referring to? To the fact that Ukraine gains an extra field time to time? It's inevitable when you're attacking since both sides only keeping a handful of soldiers on the frontline itself, who's job is to fire few RPG shots and either leave or wait for reinforcements when enemies are getting closer
3
@ivanesquivel2831 lend-lease provided like 5% of what USSR produced themselves. The best thing about lend-lease were trains which USSR was lacking. But entire NATO gives 1000 less goods for Ukraine now than USA alone did for soviet union back in the days
3
@bdd2195 what's the difference between Russian and Ukrainian? Those are literally the same people with same history, mentality, architecture and language, except for western Ukraine which was part of Poland for awhile
3
@hallgeirtveit5553 because Russian soldiers can cancel their contracts at any time. The only difference between being a soldier and normal job - you have to tell your commander officer that you're leaving. Russian soldiers also don't allowed to have phones because they can be trucked and fired at their location. You also haven't seen many Russian tiktok videos from the frontline. The only people who actually have phones with them are chechens cos they have corruption problem and they can smuggle anything basically, but they are just filming themselves in frontlines while fighting or walking, so their location isn't important and no-one "intercepts" their phones for some reason Those phone calls are more fake than interrogation of POWs on both sides where they say "oh yeah, your army is so amazing, we have low moral and no will to fight", cos they will say everything on camera to not get beaten
3
@agent3268 according to Russian propaganda
2
@bjorntorlarsson you're right, there's no point in zerg rushing Ukraine. But after huge bombardment - at one point there will be a need to push and capitulate Ukraine. Not sure how it's possible to occupy like 70% of Ukraine (i assume Ukraine will give up at this point) without a lot more troops. I doubt that Zelensky will give up if frontline will be stagnant like it is right now
2
@TuzLaG the problem is - now they are defending next to the river (on the north of lyman) so there are less places where Ukraine can attack. So if they retreat - front will get a lot bigger and it's gonna be even harder to defend
2
@dymed1366 by "scattered" you mean that they covered retreat of DNR forces to get to better positions safely? Also Ukraine had reportedly 7 times more people than Russia during this offensive. Such numerical advantage is about to come to an end. Even with extra 80k Russian soldiers Ukraine couldn't grab more land
2
@Macbrother if Ukranians can be ok with crossing a river with pontoon bridges, Russians can be fine also. If you're saying that Russian soldiers have no supplies, does it mean that Ukrainian soldiers in Kherson, after pushing through 2 rivers are starving to death? If Russia thinks they need more ferries - they have plenty military ferries in storage. Also train across the bridge is working just fine. And yes, waiting 6 hours sucks, but it just means that you need to start waiting in the line 6 hours earlier to get to the same location without being late. It's like with traffic jam on regular road in your town in the morning - you just need to wake up earlier to get to your job in time
2
@giovanni-ed7zq so you're saying that 1000 Russian soldiers managed to hide in village 4000 population max? So they have like 800 tanks and armoured vehicles. Why there are no photos of them? And how did Ukraine managed to send even bigger force behind them? Also you said that Russia has ammo depot right next to the front, so 100$ shell from any mortar can destroy it with ez. Do you have special powers to see through walls or something? Or you're working on nato intelligence? Im sure that such precise information would be very handy for Ukraine Well, unless you completely made this bullshit up because you're biased as hell and have no clue wtf are you talking about. That can also be the case
2
@blengi US mostly used locals to fight, that's why in total "team USA" lost 76k troops dead, while "team Taliban" lost 55k dead. "Team USSR" lost 66k, in comparison to "team islamists" losing 90k. Pretty comparable, considering that USSR killed twice as many enemies USSR was helping pro soviet government of Afghanistan against islamists sponsored by bin Laden and USA. So it was USA that destroyed Afghanistan in 80s USSR haven't collapsed, Gorbachev literally asked USSR regions of they want to leave or no. And what failures? What goal wasn't achieved in Afghanistan? And everything else you mentioned has nothing to do with Afghanistan. Soviets left it in columns while pro Soviet Afghan government had control over entire country. USA was leaving on planes with Taliban on their tail, while leaving tons of equipment behind. Have you seen Afghans falling off last leaving American plane ?
1
@thescrambler692 again, Americans mostly used their puppet Afghans to fight. It's not hard to have low losses when you aren't doing the fighting yourself. Look at total amount of losses on USSR side and on USA side
1
Did he ever said it or you forgot to take you pills today? Of course Ukraine can take random fields, they're on their grand offensive and was attacking for 3 months. Russia built many defensive lines for a reason
1
@agent3268 no, according to some Turkish media that allegedly found some Israel intelligence documents which sounds retarded 40k dead poles, despite Poland having 100k in army? And not even Polish mercs in total, but 40k dead? It's ridiculous
1
As a Russian i don't know a single person joining the army, but I know 2 who received povestka and were let go later. So acting like everyone is mobilized is the most retarded lie I've seen in awhile. Feds are getting dumber I guess
1
@Константинфирсов-и7б you're talking about Ukraine, not about casual soldiers. If you served in military - it doesn't mean that you know every military base in your country. Some Ukranian soldier probably saw Russian troops around that prison and thought that it's a Russian base. Doubt that Zelensky himself ordered to fire at prison for no reason, surely they have better targets
1
@DilbertMuc both sides are barely keeping troops at the frontline itself because it's extremely hard to supply them because of drones. You also won't find a single video with 50 Ukrainians in the trenchs. Both sides are keeping 3-10 guys maximum. Also the more soldiers you have in the same spot - the more enemies will focus you. 80% of casualties in this war are caused by artillery and other bombs. Russia has 10 to 1 advantage in artillery and 100 to 1 in air force. They have comparable tech, but Russia uses more long range missiles and dumb bombs like BETAB 500. So I don't see how Russia can theoretically lose more soldiers than Ukraine According to BBC sponsored Mediazona Russia lost 30k soldiers dead, including prisoners and Wagner. Do you really think that Ukraine lost less than that, despite having huge disadvantage in fire power? There's a reason why Ukraine has to kidnap people on streets and force them into military. I'm not saying that Ukraine has a lot more KIA than Russia, but they definitely have a lot more wounded
1
@RaccoonBln81 all soldiers are murderers. And if you're a prisoner, it doesn't mean that you're a bad person, especially in Russia. If army discipline can hold them from theft and other war crimes - i see no reason why can't they fight
1
@bjorntorlarsson I'm not talking about civil war or something, but about partizan resistance. Pretty sure Ukrainians were raised on stories about their partizan ancestors who played a huge part in ww2, so many people will fight against Russia in secret for awhile Well, people wanted to end the war and Russia escalated it a lot, no-one likes when their homes are being bombarded. I believe there will be a lot of resistance inside Ukraine. And Russia will need more people to guard and patrol territories
1
@-John-Doe- NATO sends like 10 howitzers a month with amount of ammo Russia fires before midday
1
Amount of soldiers on frontline is a huge difference. If Russia can hold frontline on not important parts of front with new soldiers - they can send better trained troops to push in other directions. Also they can guard captured land and protect convoys For example if Russia decides to occupy Odessa, even if Ukranian army will fall back to this city without fighting at all (perfect conditions in imaginary world) - currently Russian btg will have to keep reserves to guard Dnepr from some reckon groups, protect their convoys, search for some Ukranians who's hiding in trees with anti tank weapons, search for civilians who's giving away Russian positions to Ukranian army and waste more people to deliver them ammo. So even in absolutely perfect conditions Russian btg at the moment will waste troops before than can even start assault of Odessa. And still this btg might need to cancel their assault to reinforce other area where Ukraine is attacking More troops will free up many Russian soldiers who's struggling to push and even defend entire 1000km frontline
1
@gregb5683 so ukraine also should get rid of soldiers because they are just "trained meat" for tornado s and smerch (better versions of himars)
1
@Cornellzz12 i never said that Ukraine haven't took Kharkov. But i said they did the same thing few months ago, were celebrating like crazy and got pushed back later because this region is right next to Russian borders "Countless storming attacks" - so that's how western propaganda calls "getting close to Ukranian positions on tanks, firing 10 shots and rolling back". Russian strategy haven't changed since week 2 - they are just bombing Ukranians from far away to save their soldiers lifes Of course they need mobilization. Front is huge and Ukraine has few times more people.
1
@Cornellzz12 few months ago Ukraine literally pushed Russia back out ot Kharkiv region. Last time taken territory wasn't that big, because this time Russia also retreated from Izym. But it's still right next to Russian borders, it's easy to occupy again
1
@Cornellzz12 all the villages on the north east of Kharkov were occupied by Ukraine few months ago, then Russia took them back, they Ukraine got them back again few weeks ago. What are you talking about? In kherson Ukraine captured few villages and got decimated. In Zaporozhye, Donbas and Lugansk (except for 1 village) they have no gains. The only difference between last Kherson offensive and new Kherson offensive - Izym
1
@ivanesquivel2831 what should have Ukraine done to justify Russian invasion in your eyes? Because NATO invaded many countries in your life time and noone seems to care about it
1
@Macbrother Ukrainian troops in Kharkov are behind 2 rivers with no bridges, pontoon bridges and ferries can supply everything
1
@volkerr. USA sent 1500 guided ammo in last 4 months. It's retarded to waste it on soldiers in trenches
1
@giovanni-ed7zq it's all been reported by Ukranian propaganda and it all doesn't make any sense. There's no way you or anyone else can prove it's happening I'll wait for photos and i hope that after some time you admit that this information is false and you won't follow those sources again. I'll do the same if your info will come true
1
@giovanni-ed7zq you're forgetting that Russia is second biggest weaponry exporter in the world, they have huge production. And since those weaponry companies belong to Russian government - everything is a lot cheaper. For example Lockheed made 8b in 2020 and 6b in clean profit. So everything they sell is 4 times more expensive than in reality. I also should mention that salary in Russia is a lot smaller and that Russia has their own resources. So Russia can produce everything like 10 times cheaper than USA In USSR and in 90s Russia produced around 1000 t72 per year, without any foreign equipment. Russia is definitely capable of producing anything even under sanctions, cos Russia used to isolation Also vast majority of NATO budget goes to guarding seas with huge fleet, tons of bases all over the world and maintenance of aircraft with ships. After all i said - NATO military budget is a lot less efficient than Russian. There's a reason why entire EU has same amount of tanks and artillery than Ukraine at the start of the war. Russia has more tanks and artillery than entire NATO The only thing that can turn the war around - if NATO gives Ukraine hundreds and thousands of planes, but they won't do it. Because it's too expensive and because it's their biggest strength, they don't want to loose it. For example Poland already sent almost half of their tanks in Ukraine, it haven't made much difference
1
Ukraine blew up last bridge to eastern Bahmut btw, photo has been posted on Grey Zone telegram channel (which belongs to Wagner member btw)
1
But they aren't welcomed, many countries closed their borders to Russians. Russophobia in the West is one of the reasons why vast majority of Russians support the war
