Germany had huge military industry and was on war economy. Ukrainian industry doesn't exist, whole NATO can't produce weapons in necessary quantities, they never fought such wars. And they aren't ramping up production yet, it will take years to do. Modern equipment can't be produced in such mass as ww2 equipment, except for dumb shells, bullets and probably some guns According to deputy of minister of defence of Ukraine from early summer - Ukraine lost 50% of their heavy equipment, while all NATO supplies only covered 15% of their losses. And NATO sends them less useful equipment every month. I don't know for how long Russia can keep up with wasted equipment but NATO (without taking away equipment from their own soldiers or ramping up production ASAP) can't send more for much longer

@neoprenewalgesang8151 i was trying to say that amount of casualties ultimately doesn't matter, unlike heavy equipment. It is possible to give 5 million Ukranians guns to fight Russians but if they won't have tanks, artillery and anti tank guns - such force won't do much in modern conflict, since you need to gather millions of people in areas where your enemy can't hit you with long range rockets Also for both side's population it's not "all in" war, people are used to scroll YouTube, they won't be ok with working 15 hours a day to produce bullets and eat bread to hear about hundreds of thousands casualties. It's not a war of extinction how it was for USSR and Germany in ww2
