@danajohnson4480 and Donbas wants to be independent from Ukraine, so Russia is helping. What's your point again? When you're talking about "democracy" in Ukraine, do you know that Donbas only demanded to learn Russian language in schools (cos that region was part of Russia for a thousand of years) and have special rights for their region (to have ability to leave Ukraine DEMOCRATICALLY like Crimea did)? And Ukraine decided that bombing them is good idea Btw about democracy, Ukraine banned all opposition except for neo nazis. And all pro Russian opposition is arrested already. Btw, you also can't sing Russian songs, any of them, even anti war songs. Can you imagine USA firing all teachers of Spanish and forbidding anyone from singing in that language?

@ibpsupplyman 80% of casualties in any war caused by artillery. And Russia outnumberes Ukrainian artillery 15 to 10, according to Ukranian officials. Deputy of Ukrainian defense minister also mentioned that Ukraine lost 50% of their heavy weapons and that NATO gave them only 15% of their losses. Consider all of this - Ukraine is loosing war and tons of people while Russia is just bombing them with unlimited ammo

@danajohnson4480 name a single false sentence. I haven't said a single thing from "Russian propaganda" - those are straight facts
13
@ibpsupplyman no clue what you have said, i only speak English and Russian. I understood like 6 words in total

@danajohnson4480 those are Ukranian laws and reasons for conflict in Ukraine of 2014. If you won't be able to find something on google - i will help you

@SocraticMutt people of Donbas are also fighting for their homeland against Ukraine Do you support independence of Taiwan btw? If yes, why do you refuse independence of Crimea?
5
@SocraticMutt Things can be true and can be propaganda at the same time. You're welcome for this sacred knowledge So again, do you support the independence of Taiwan? Do you also support the independence of Crimea? Why?
4
@CGplay186 I do support people's right of independence

@Bobsponge3521 Going deep and fast leads to high causalities. There's a reason why Russia had to take a break after their initial phase of invasion. And there's a reason why Ukraine couldn't attack for a year after their 2022, 2023 and Kursk offensives. Taking land fast is useless in attritional war where one side will be forced to give up regardless
2
I guess you forgot about Ukraine bombing the civilians of the Donbas for 8 years in violation of Minsk 1 and Minsk 2
2
But USA also running out of shells, rockets and anti air missiles to supply Ukraine with. Arms manufacturers are happy indeed, but it doesn't mean that USA will have ability to fight for Taiwan later

@SocraticMutt changing the subject huh? Have you realised that you're supporting whatever side the media tells you to support and that you actually don't have an opinion? The Russian economy is growing faster than G7 members according to the World Bank and IMF. Russia is also sustaining their army with only volunteers, while Ukraine can't keep up with their losses despite kidnapping people off streets to throw them into the military. Which even thr Radio Free Europe admitted more than a year ago.

@SamDude-cu2jbWhen did Russia prevent Ukraine from joining the EU? When Yanukovich refused to break the trade agreement with Ukraine's biggest trading partner (Russia) to sign the trade agreement with the EU? When both the EU and Russia told him that Ukraine can't have trade agreements with them at the same time? Are you blaming Russia for Yanukovich choosing the best option for Ukraine?
1
@andrewwomble2722 Russia hasn't pressured anyone. Both EU and Russia told Yanukovich that he can't have trade agreements with the EU and Russia at the same time. And he chose to keep the agreement with Russia since Russia was the biggest trading partner of Ukraine. He literally chose the best thing for Ukraine
1
@et76039 lies. The USSR asked to join NATO in 50s, but NATO refused. Russia also asked to join NATO in 91, but NATO refused again
1
@Bobsponge3521 Russia accelerated 12 times since last year because Ukraine is physically running out of men to snatch off streets. They're already drafting 18yo, do you think they should continue until they run out of that generation too?
1
@Bobsponge3521 currently Russia is taking around 500km² per month. They did lose 2 fields south of Pokrovsk, but they're advancing west. Recently they encircled hundreds of Ukrainians south of Constantinople. I don't think Russia will enter Pokrovsk until it gets half encircled, as they usually do
1
@Bobsponge3521 Russia started to take 400-800km² after around July. And of course the rate slowed down during winter. But Russia is still taking more land per month now than during the entire 2023. "Assuming 2024 rates" - no. Wars aren't linear, that's why we see such acceleration. And Russia doesn't need to reach Kiev to win the war either
1
@Bobsponge3521 as I said, pushing deep and hard at the start of the war caused Russia to do nothing for a year. What will change if Russia takes multiple regions again? Ukrainian weapon production and budget is solely relying on the west, so it's physically impossible to get an advantage by taking land By meat wave tactics you mean small groups tactics, which both sides are using? Because in some times it's much safer to send a squad to take some position instead of sending an armoured column, because the squad is much harder to spot by a drone "If Russia was competent" - in comparison to who? It's the first large scale conflict since Vietnam and it's a first conflict with such usage of drones
1
@EmetSheker Crimea belongs to Russia because it's part of Russia: locals pay taxes to Russia, Russia pays their pensions and pays for their infrastructure. It doesn't matter if you like it or not. If Ukraine or anyone else takes Crimea by force or negotiations - then it will be part of some other country. But it's been part of Russia for over a decade Crimea joined Russia peacefully. But Ukraine was bombing civilians of the Donbas for 8 years before Russia stepped in. And according to UN - 80% of civilian casualties were in rebel controlled territory. There are hundreds of videos of Ukrainians launching cluster ammo barrages on populated streets of the Donbas
