Sorry but this is indeed very biased. This has nothing to do with business but politics. The construction and running of these fabs are heavily subsidized. The US wants to provoke military action and have chips squirreled away in Arizona. TSMC and Taiwan are pawn.

@OperationXX1 Cut the nonsense... Taiwan prospered because of the One China policy. In order to "contain China" - Taiwan is being used as a pawn and the One China policy is being chipped away.. Anyone with a slight bit of knowledge of history knows what could reignite the civil war... you did know it was a Chinese civil war right?

for several years they were experiencing a big brain drain to Mainland China. That's what really started all the sanctions.
