UMM made some of the toughest offroad vehicles, so much so that they used to equip the army and one of our police forces (GNR) and many other public entities for many years. We even raced them in offroad races: we had team racing them on the 4th edition of the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1984 and, believe it or not, we sent another team of UMMs 42 years later! Salvador Caetano is a coach builder, amongst other things. It's famous for being Toyota's official importer and dealer in Portugal, now they represent many brands here.

For those who know Ligier from F1, it's weird seeing a microcar representing the brand. 😆

Whoever made the video put some really unknown brands in there (and two Australian ones!), some of them only made a few cars or nor even that, but forgot well known, traditional, historic european brands like Hillman, Triumph, Rover, DKW, NSU, Morris, Austin, TVR, Land Rover, MAN, Scania, Pagani, Lotus, McLaren and so much more that I can't remember now. Feel free to add them below.

ARO was a different manufacturer. It only made 4x4 vehicles but used Dacia parts, so the Dacia company already existed at the time. We had one model made here in Portugal between 1975 and 1995, named Portaro and based on the ARO 240 4x4. 🙂

@ - It mentioned Dacia twice but with different flags (romanian first and then french), which kind of makes sense. The only thing that was wrong was that they should've shown an old Dacia with the romanian flag instead of the modern one they showed with both flags.

@kathylecluyse7820 - I know all of that, hence my comment. We have them here in Portugal as well and (unfortunately) with the same type of rules as to who can drive them. The only difference is that they're limited to 50km/h, the same as the mopeds.
