Ok, all the teams, manufacturers, riders and races are from/in Europe but this is a world championship organised by the FIM, Ian. It was first held in 1980. One of the GPs (this year it was GP2) takes place here in Portugal, in a small village called Alqueidão that belongs to one of the parishes of my county, just 9 Kms (~5.6 mi) away from where I live. Seeing it live is something no words can describe. 🙂
