  1. I always find it weird that americans call grocery stores to their huge Wallmarts, Costcos and such. Here in Portugal, grocery stores are the small, traditional, family-run stores in your street or your neighbourhood, the medium-sized stores like Aldi, Lidl, Pingo Doce, Mini Preço or Intermarché are supermarkets and the big one like Continente or E.Leclerc are hypermarkets.
