  4. I'm in Ontario. I had such severe ulcerative colitis (at the time, 1999, I was told it was the worst my GI had ever seen. Had an illeostomy (the bag) done in 1999, slipped into a coma for 2 months. They had to switch from a loop illeostomy to an end illeostomy, which at the time had never been done before. I was 22. I'm very lucky to live in Canada.
