@drdca8263 There's also not much evidence that the brain use "computation" in the classical sense at all, it is just an utility word we use to represent the combined goal-directed apparent activity of neurons. But we do know that our senses have something to do with the quantum mechanics in a sense, and we do have (limited and specific) evidence about some (possible) quantum interactions of the brain, such as the quantum smell experiments. And we have some more limited evidence that it appears to be the case that quantum mechanics and indeterminism have something to do even with unicellular cells (like the Martin Heisenberg work on the topic). So while this is mostly theoretical and have limited evidence (as any attempt to explain the brain and consciousness in general) it is far from being something absurd or not grounded in anything at all.
