@TheInfectous Language is not useless to reasoning, nobody said that. To defend the point of the guy here (even tho I believe only partially in it, I think your response is flawed), you can need to communicate the reasoning to [yourself] to improve on it. Communicating does not mean only "communicating to others", but also "communicating to oneself" and this self-reporting of reasoning could be, theoretically, an improvement over brute reasoning using only the basic capabilities of the brain, and this could explain why those tribes with less developed languages had a poorer reasoning.
