  1. I think this is a problem with your perception of what Rust is. You expect a language that has everything you need, but that's what high-level languages are for. Rust wasn't meant to simply be a high-level language, it was meant to be a consistent and systems language (and he's very good at that), so a lot of things still need to be established at a high level (the kind of thing Rust also tends to worry but not as much) until you have the kind of experience you want to have, which frankly is "move fast and break fast", and that's just not what Rust is these days. If you sit back, relax, and try to project what you're writing concisely into the code, you'll find that it performs very well for the overwhelming majority of tasks.
