The problem that I have with SOLID is the same problem I have with a bunch of Go people, they transformed a set of heuristic (SOLID itself, or the "simplicity") into a cult-like thing. I think simplicity is often good, and I think SOLID principles often lead to better code than worse. This means I should apply this to everything? This is another completely different question and I don't think we have any way to prove that. People must realize software engineering was not even been around for 200 years, and modern software engineering is not around for like more than what, 50 years? We have not had time yet for having any extremely strong and consequential conclusions on such a field, and people should stop thinking they should have the answer for every single existing problem beforehand.
