  1. Because greed in general is a feature of materialism. If you don't believe or value nothing nonmaterial, it is just a consequence to direct your love towards what's purely physical.

  2.  @ThePrimeTimeagen  There's a term for it, basically 'state capitalism'. But yeah, it's not what we usually call capitalism (as in free markets and private property centered production).

  3. This is not capitalism, this is simply the state. Libertarians were warning about this bs since always, if you give a hand they take your whole arm, if you give a part of your freedom the next thing they take is everything. You are not trading freedom for security, you are trading freedom for surveilance and the promise of security, and the hope that the state never turn against you in the future, it's just that. But whatever.
