@duffy666 It is funny when someone say something like this because it is just blatantly an assumption, you cannot prove that humans do "most system 1 thinking". And neither that this is "what LLMs do" because you cannot also prove that LLMs work in the same way as human brains work (because they don't, literally).

@GSBarlev Lol "you can pretty safely disregard" --- I think you should be a very renowned physicist to say this wich such a confidence, aren't you?

@alakani "but you can tell when people are just repeating that phrase because they heard it somewhere..." You can also tell that they did not needed 10T of tokens worth of data to be able to do so, and that they have something underlying we call 'meaning' that is existing to them and not for any LLM.

@esould No, no part of the human brain "is LLM", this is bizarre.

There is not already some reports saying copilot-assisted code is more bug-prone than non assisted?

@pueraeternus. Just call it 'neo-late stage hyper ca-', people love to invent expressions for things they don't understand.

@kevinmcq7968 I think you are just intentionally misunderstanding what he is saying. He is not saying tools are not usefull, he is saying that if the tool starts to replace the use of your own mind it can make you dependent at the point that it will prejudice your own reasoning skills (and we have some evidence that this is happening, that's why some schools are turning back to use handwritting for example / Miguel Nicolelis also has some takes on this matter).
