Except nobody is talking about how much AI is making us dumb, all of those "chief AI officers" and CEOs are only talking about how amazing it is and how it will "change fundamentally the economy", but nothing about how it will possibly destroy one of the unique aspects of humanity (apart from love) that differs us from animals, our intelligence. And the "lifting heavy things" analogy is not good as well, we have machines to do the heavy lifting now BECAUSE we are also intelligente and we exercised it. If those machines are making us dumber it could end up leading to more lifting.
