@BlackTakGolD People don't say that biological neural networks compress information simply because biological neural networks are not the same as artificial neural networks, neither in form nor in content. However, I would say that the term 'compression' is not entirely appropriate when we talk about these image models, nor is the use of the term 'extrapolation.' I would rather say it's an extremely complex interpolation on <aspects> that have been statistically extracted from the images on which the models were trained.
