Your problem is to confuse negative freedom with absolute selfishness, this is a symptom of a lack of theoretical rigor and a lack of deep reading on the subject. If you took the time to read at least one libertarian article on environmental externalities, such as Rothbard's, you would realize what a blunder it is to think that negative freedom implies the absence of any intervention, luckily for you Americans that even if these concepts are so distorted there is still a sense of individual responsibility about it, where I live the damage is communalized, and everyone is held accountable.

It really amazes me how people who live such comfortable lives can really hate the mechanisms that give them comfort so much, maybe Mises was completely right when he wrote the anti-capitalist mindset. Living in a shit country like mine gives you perspective on how people love to glorify misery when they have good lives.

@philagelio336 America is probably the best country on the planet to live in in terms of quality of life, it has obvious problems, some bigger than many other countries, but I think that's what they complain about.
