@Kentama Because veganism is not inherently right just because you believe in it, lol.

@Kentama You mean the same ones that basically need to take vitamins in capsules to meet their bodily needs?

No, you are right. The consumer behavior is not as significant as shown, it is [WAY MORE] significant than that. Consumers are literally the major responsibles of all consumption (literally), without consumers there is no market, and if consumers paid more selectively they would effectively shape the market. The question is just much more simple: people don't really care about animals more than they care about their pockets.

"eat less meat" is a fine thing to say living comfortably in a first world country where your nutrition can be easily interchangeable, in most third world countries you need to eat the most meat you can, because you never know when you will not have the opportunity to eat again because of some bullshit action from the government or some production problem, and you will need to live mostly from starch and little vegetables and fruits.

I live in a third world country and people dump food as heck as well, there is no connection of this with "developed countries".

@idiotsmonthly3969 The problem is that this crosses the line, it starts with the question "is eating meat ethical" and turns into a "let's add another regulation that will increase the price of meath by 30% to discourage meat consumption", the ethical considerations are always on the verge of being used politically (and they don't even need to be right, an ethical consideration can be blatantly wrong and some politician will still use it to make laws and make the lifes of everyone else worse if he can, because of his own ideology).

@DampeS8N This is bullshit. You only need to select more from who you buy your meat. Regulations are not a computer program you can tune and have expected results, they can work or cause much more harm than good.
