Hossenfelder comes across as somebody who had a legitimately bad experience, but never found a good way to come to terms with what happened. This is the result.

@tylermacdonald8924 Sorry if you thought I was accusing her of being disingenuous. I am merely saying that her dismissal of the entirety of academia is owing to her seeing it through tinted lenses as a result of her personal experience.

@Ouiofcourse It would indeed be a great shame for somebody who clearly demonstrated competence in the past. Alex Jones started out as trash, and ended as trash. Nothing lost there. Sabine Hossenfelder, on the other hand, still has much to offer, if she can stop and reflect on what she is doing now. To use a Star Wars analogy, we are watching a promising Jedi turn to the dark side.
