  2. Then maybe it is time to consider it a privilege. You want the right, then you show you can and will stick to the rules of possessing and using one. Break those rules and you can face temporarily or permanently losing that right.

  3. I really don't see why you think comparing population size is relevant, since statistics are often adjusted to per capita or every 100,000 people when comparing two or more populations. If anything, it proves that there are plenty more people at risk in the US than are safe in New Zealand and that is in fact a reason to act.

  6.  @stephenroberts8342  She herself said there's still a lot of work to do. I don't take people who say they are taking guns away from law abiding citizens seriously, ie YOU. What on Earth would you need an AR style gun for other than to kill? What purpose can they possibly serve in civilized society? I'm not from New Zealand despite my chosen handle, but I am from one country, and live in another, both of which restrict guns heavily, and neither have experienced anywhere near the number of mass shootings the US has. You stuck out like a sore thumb among nations.
