  2. I heard the aggression, too, but what was even more apparent and I picked up on that first was the absolute stupidity. It reminds me years ago when I saw Mainland Chinese karen, so indoctrinated by China, scolding people at a booth run by the Democratic Party in Hong Kong (not the American one. Hong Kong's own). As I observed her, from her clothes, to her tones and gesticulations, what she was saying, of which I only got the general gist, as it was some regional dialect instead of my native Cantonese, it was clear to me she was far from bright. I remember thinking how stupid she was, that it is almost as if the sheer stupidity can manifest itself into a physical scent, and I can smell it. What would stupidity smell like if one could smell it? This is likely the closest you can get to finding out.
