We live in a country with more guns than people, a cultural fetish for weapons and "freedom", and the second highest violent crime rate of any modernized country (behind Russia), and Missouri - the fourth highest state in homicides per capita on a yearly basis - just passed a law a few months ago preventing cops from arresting people for violating federal gun laws. You know, like selling to minors and convicted felons. If the Earth had an insane asylum for countries, the rest of the world would lock us in Cell #1.
