  1. Conan loses but only for reasons that have nothing to do with intelligence. L is simply better equipped. He starts off the show with a fortune and enough weight to get the law enforcement agencies of the world to do his bidding and Conan is running his investigation out of his neighbor's basement and has had to win back most of his clout from scratch; even then he still doesn't have all of the information his FBI contacts do. Conan simply does not have the ability to do the LInd L Taylor stunt needed to draw him out and even if he did, it'd be against his morality to do so. After that, he's more than capable of making most of the same logical deductions that L could.
