  1. He'd be barred if he were term locked. Other government positions are fine as long as there's no reasonable chance that he could receiving an illegal third term via succession. Taft got onto the Supreme Court after his term and became Chief Justice.

  2.  @Franktank111  As of the 25th Amendment and the Presidential Succession Act, the order of succession is VP, then Speaker, then President Pro Temp of the Senate, Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Defense, Attorney General, then all of the other cabinet members nobody cares about. Also, if the VP is vacant, the President gets to nominate a new one. So, even if you remove Biden, Harris gets to nominate a new VP. The House will attempt to prevent this by refusing to give a majority vote needed for confirmation until they can find an excuse to remove her. The Republicans will probably lose the House in 2024 if they do this.
