Supposedly he's one of those "sovereign citizen" wackos, the people that whine that they don't consent to being subject to the rules of law. They're known to make their own homemade IDs and vehicle tags.

@skynative0099 I mean.... sovereign citizens make their own identification. Had one near here that he didn't need anybody's approval to build stuff, then forged building permits when he was told to stop. It's very strange as a coordinated attempt. It doesn't really benefit the "radical left" to be this blatant, especially since assassinating Trump at this point guarantees that Vance wins the election so it would be a self-defeating victory. Trump, however, benefits from the obvious fakery and quick release. I guarantee his talking points for the next month will be along the following: "Look at the evil radical left. I visit their horrible state and they try and kill me, their great leader, and release my killer. Horrible, horrible. Are you going to vote for me or for Crooked Kamala?"
