"He comes across as a straight up narcissist who is only happy when he is speaking loudly and shouting people down" - Firstly what do you mean by narcissist? Secondly there is good reason why he speaks loudly and shouting when having debates with individuals who constantly interrupt. However i have also seen Bob debating in a very calm manner when there are no interruptions from the individual he is debating. "Is it a speakers corner only thing or what"? - i would argue it has more to do with the type of individual Bob is debating. "i do not accept that as an excuse though because none of the rest of you are like that" - not all debaters debate the same way. One may not always agree with the style of debating, i would say to each his own "You are loving and far more humble than arrogant" - being humble is a good virtue but like being humble as well as being arrogant are not the standard for what is true or false. "He is puffed up with academic knowledge and it shows massively" - Are you implying that being puffed up with academic knowledge is a bad thing? "He is equally arrogant as he is knowledgeable and it sad" - being arrogant is not the standard for being right or wrong. And secondly it does seem that you are saying that being knowledgeable is a bad thing or as you say sad.
