  1. It is absolutely true that Muslims have not figured out how a covenantal system works. The laws that were given to Israel were only meant for the nation of Israel in a very specific time and place in history and the reason those laws were given to Israel was so to separate them from the surrounding nations that practiced things that God did not want Israel to do because he is Holy, and he wanted his people to be Holy. Secondly no Jew or Christian today would argue that men and women who sleeps with the same sex should be executed today. As both the Jew and Christian realize that the laws given to Israel were only for a specific time and place in the history of Israel. Lastly Christians are not under the Old Testament law as we are under the law of Christ which is by grace. Also, the 10 commandments apply to us since they are repeated in the New Testament and 9 out of the 10 commandments are repeated in the New Testament. In summary the 10 commandments can be summed up as follows: 1. Love the Lord your God with your entire being 2. Love your neighbors as you would love yourself. The entire law and prophets hang on these to commandments.
