Agree, I hope Nikita's team has an expert witness who can testify about the effects of trauma on memory. Some people dissociate as a coping mechanism; the brain and the body are overwhelmed and the effect is the same as a blackout. I do feel for her. She did all she could in terms of going to the hospital and speaking to guards. She preserved the evidence when I'm sure she was desperate for a shower and clean clothes She knew she was coming to court and making herself extremely vulnerable. Incredibly brave. I believe she was r*ped by him, I believe she's still very scared of him and think she has good reason sadly. And there are some fierce comments from the general public who have no clue and think her going up to hotel suite is the same as her consenting to all that happened next.

@Harblf did her going up to hotel suite amount to consent to (extremely rough) s*x? Be serious. And be kind. You're commenting amongst women who've experienced SA.

@stoicsavage509 she's been honest about going up there for coke and drink. She's also said she told Conor she was on her period and that s*x would NOT be happening... before they went up to the suite. Even if he'd gone up there thinking she wanted s*x, she (everyone) has the right to withdraw consent at any time. Those are the most basic concepts of consent, and it's really disconcerting to have to explain this to adults.

@averagejoe3722 Kissing and showing affection isn't consent to s*x and you shouldn't have to be told that. I'm considering the medical evidence and I don't see the results of a consensual encounter, not even a "rough" one, as Conor described it.

@fights1397 She's admitted to lying to her partner, and yes it looks bad. However, it doesn't mean she's lying under oathe. My conment about consent wasn't aimed at you and I'm not sure why you feel compelled to speak up for the eejits.

@Harblf No, I'm assessing what I think is more likely to have happened, which is what the 8 women and 4 men on the jury are being asked to do (it doesn't have to be 'beyond reasonable doubt'). There's more evidence to come, let's see how it goes. G'night.
