Your surgeon friend is absolutely correct. (I am also a doctor). The problem is that once something "atypical" is identified we are obligated to investigate further. I do not recommend that anyone who feels well and is asymptomatic to do anything but maybe occasional blood work.

@Narcissistic_Penguin Hm. I eat meat daily and when I was 30, I was nearly refused the purchase of a lottery ticket because as the bodega guy put it - "you have to be 18 to play the lottery" not to mention getting carded at bars well into my early 30s. So, I don't think that looking young has anything to do with being vegan.
16
Nobody hates him because he looks his age. People are just annoyed that he's just another snake oil salesman. He even calls his wildly overpriced oil "snake oil" and people still don't get it.
13
@fahed2544 He was emaciated though, and had to get fat transplants in his face.

Your human body will definitely die, but your soul lives on so there's absolutely no need to fear death.
8
@laisspinelli4949 As an over 50 person, I thought that he was at least my age, based on looks. I was shocked to find out that he was still in his 40s.
7
1. A person needs a healthy biofilm. 2. Brush twice daily. Once in the morning upon waking and once in the evening. 3. Floss once daily, preferably in the evening. I never get cavities, nor pockets, nor plaque and I'm over 50.
7
@bamflyer Here's some prevention for you: don't smoke, do some physical activity, don't get fat, avoid most carbs, avoid seed oils, and take vitamin D. Eat quality foods like meats, liver, eggs, and fish often. Reduce stress. Get a check up every few years. Brush and floss your teeth daily. That's it.
6
Why should we all agree on "don't die"? I don't have a problem with my human body dying. The soul is eternal and we achieve physical immortality by having children.
6
@milire2668 I'm going to die when I die. There's no need to accelerate the process. Not being afraid of death does not mean that I don't enjoy my life to the fullest.
6
@alexshi9320 The pain from herniated discs and osteoarthritis varies greatly from person to person. Some are asymptomatic and some can't function for the pain. If you have no symptoms, leave it alone.
6
As a medical doctor, I do not recommend asymptomatic people of any age to go around getting tests "to see if anything is wrong". Believe me, something WILL be found and then you're in store for bloodwork, different types of biopsies, and more imaging. And in the end, you may wind up with parts of perfectly good organs removed from your body, if not the whole organ. If you feel healthy, you most likely ARE healthy.
6
But it takes energy and nutrients away from the area that needs to be repaired.
5
@84anothersmith And that most likely results in increased revenues and increased over -diagnosis and unnecessary treatments.
4
Please stop. I went to bed when I finished the intraoperative consultations on 16 surgical patients, did some shopping , drove nearly two hours to get home, ate and took a bath, among other things. I slept well, though.
4
It's no accident.
4
the worst that could happen is that you'll need hundreds of supplements, hormone replacement and a full set of veneers.
4
It is a waste of resources, but a LOT of people have money to burn.
4
The guy is literally afraid to order from a restaurant menu and that IS weird.
4
They should be allowed to have the occasional treat. There's no harm in it. Today I had an Oreo ice cream sandwich and I'm over 50 and completely healthy in all ways. My teenage son wasn't interested but had some gummies instead.
4
@meltedsnowman9637 It is snake oil when you're charging 45 dollars per bottle.
3
There's a typo: it should be "longevity scam".
3
4:58 Your hair is still very thin.
3
The doctor doesn't emanate health and vitality.
3
@stardustanimated But they do things like chop wood and farm work, like my grandmother who lived past 102 years. The push-up won't give you longevity, it's just a measure of upper body strength.
3
@TheAnimeKers I always floss before brushing. That's what makes sense to me. As far as biofilm, I don't know why some people have a healthier one than others. For instance, my son is like me and doesn't get cavities. He uses a plain manual toothbrush and flosses. His father has endless dental issues, yet he uses an electric toothbrush, xylitol, etc.
3
A firm handshake is good, but the hand crushers take it too far. And after I had hand surgery, I really don't accept it.
3
@pedro.almeida They guy broke a bone in his foot while dancing, so I don't think his protocols are working.
3
Lack of sun is deadly. Get some sun.
3
There are already plenty of specialists who do this and they're called Radiologists.

@SCHOOLERstyle Basketball is the best! 🏀🏀🏀😃👍🏼
2
@VKat you will notice that you will be able to do more and more if you stay consistent. 👍🏼
2
@LVArturs You and Bryan also have to convince everyone that this meat suit is all there is. Apparently Bryan believes that his existence begins and ends with his physical body and that's why he's afraid of it dying.
2
I'm 53 and still menstruating and ovulating. I think the most important supplements for remaining young and delaying menopause are vitamin D, fish oil, DHEA, coQ10, iodine, magnesium and a general multivamin. A low carb high fat diet and red light therapy are also helpful in various ways. Other than that, stay fit, don't get fat (overweight) and don't smoke.
2
Basically, your bones are weak.
2
@StudentX-h6w You're in your 4th year of medical school, but you still have a LOT to learn.
2
Exactly 💯
2
There was one other comment. 😅

@gendalfbeast213 I've seen people develop things like high stage aggressive colon cancer with metastasis in the months in between their annual screenings. I've seen someone develop gallbladder cancer and die within a month of diagnosis even though they had just had a full body MRI 8 months prior. The thing that is rarely said is that if you develop a malignancy that will eventually kill you, it will do so no matter how early you catch it and how often you screen. This fact is even surprisingly printed on the last page of the pamphlet encouraging women to get screening mammograms, at least in my country. (It states that mammograms do not prevent deaths from breast cancer).
2
Not everyone feels "powerless" like you do. Ordering from a menu shouldn't throw a person into a crisis. Some of us have agency and self- responsibility.
2
no.
2
You're right. Generally transfusions from close family members result in a transfusion reaction.
2
Bryan will never back down on the slogan, though and it's because he always thinks that he's the smartest guy in the room.
2
His son basically cannot say no. Plasmapheresis is exhausting and can have serious side effects and complications and shouldn't be done just because Bryan wants young plasma.
2
It's all true and we have more than enough to do without every clinic being clogged with patients demanding rapid treatment for their various incidentalomas. The case that sticks with me the most was a Whipple procedure being performed for a "pancreatic mass" seen on imaging...and it turned out to be a small accessory spleen. The entire pancreas was 100% normal and healthy.
2
But it's not preventive, it's diagnostic.
2
He's had a lot of facial cosmetic procedures.
2
@bronkruger7838 It's a total nope because all major changes are due to surgical interventions.
2
The title should be "Live".
2
Bryan is pumped with fillers and coated with hair dye, now what?
